Annie Studholme is a specialist freelance photographer and journalist. She lives on a large sheep and cropping farm at Coldstream, near Ashburton, with husband Alastair, and two teenage children, Olivia and William. They also run boutique on-farm accommodation in their 100-year-old former cookshop, The Whare.
Since completing a Bachelor of Arts followed by a Diploma in Journalism, Annie has built a strong reputation as a leading photographer and journalist working across a range of different fields. Her written and photography work regularly features in Latitude, a Canterbury-based, aspirational and inspirational, lifestyle magazine, which features real human interest stories about people, places and businesses. Annie's regular columns include Frontline, Regional Food and Nature, as well as general feature articles. With her farming background, Annie is also a regular contributor to RuralCo's in-house farming magazine, Real Farmer, which is pitched firmly at Ruralco members nationwide. Her photographs also feature in other farming publications.
Alongside those endeavours, she is also highly-regarded as a specialist equine writer and photographer. Having spent her early life around horses, Annie competed in all disciplines, while her parents were involved with breeding and racing thoroughbreds. Her images and articles have appeared in magazines such as New Zealand Thoroughbred, NZ Thoroughbred Racing Monthly, NZ Racehorse Owner Magazine, and The Bulletin (official magazine of Equestrian Sports New Zealand), as well as a number of other publications. Notably, she's been a regular contributor to NZ Horse & Pony Magazine for almost two decades. Her equestrian work takes Annie to many of the country's top equestrian events during the year.
Annie is available for editorial and marketing content, events and personal branding. She loves nothing more than meeting new clients.
